How do I open an incognito tab?

Using an incognito tab can be an alternative to clearing your browser’s cache and cookies when troubleshooting network or browser-related issues. Below are the steps for opening an incognito or private browsing window on different browsers.

Windows

Google Chrome:

  1. Launch Chrome.

  2. Click the three-dot menu in the top right corner.

  3. Select "New Incognito Window."

Firefox:

  1. Launch Firefox.

  2. Click the menu button in the top right corner.

  3. Select "New Private Window."

Microsoft Edge:

  1. Launch Microsoft Edge.

  2. Click the Edge menu in the top right corner.

  3. Select "New InPrivate Window."

Opera:

  1. Launch Opera.

  2. Click "File" in the top left corner.

  3. Select "New Private Window."

Mac

Safari:

  1. Launch Safari.

  2. Click "File" and select "New Private Window."

Google Chrome:

  1. Launch Chrome.

  2. Click the three-dot menu in the top right corner.

  3. Select "New Incognito Window."

Mobile Browsers

Android – Chrome:

  1. Open the Chrome app.

  2. Tap the three-dot menu to the right of the address bar.

  3. Tap "New Incognito Tab."

iOS – Safari:

  1. Launch Safari.

  2. Tap the "Tabs" button in the bottom right corner.

  3. Tap the number of open tabs or "Start Page" to show the Tab Groups list.

  4. Tap "Private" to enable Private Browsing Mode.

  5. Tap the "+" icon to open a new private window.
