Why am I getting a “No Connection” error?

The "No Connection" error appears in the MT4 and MT5 trading terminals and can be caused by several factors. Consider the following possibilities:

Incorrect Credentials: Ensure that the correct login details are used. Check the following:

  • Account number: This can be found in the "My Accounts" section of your Client Area. Each trading account displays its account number inside its box.

  • Trading password: Ensure the correct password is entered. If forgotten, it can be reset by clicking the three-dot menu beside your account in the PA (Personal Area).

  • Account server: The correct server must be selected during login. To find your account’s server, click the three-dot menu beside your account and select "Account Information."

Unstable Internet Connection: If your internet connection is unstable, try the following:

  • Run a speed test to check the stability of your internet connection.

  • Verify that you can connect to other online services. If not, ensure that all internet cables are securely connected.

  • Reset your modem or router by turning it off for at least five seconds before switching it back on. This may help refresh a weak or stalled connection.

  • While the trading terminal is active, click on the "No Connection" error message to display the server list. Click "Rescan Servers" to refresh the list and check the ping (measured in milliseconds), which indicates how long it takes to communicate with the servers.

  • If your connection is unstable, resolve the internet issues first, as the "No Connection" error will persist otherwise.

VPN Services: Using a VPN while trading may cause issues similar to an unstable internet connection, such as slow response times or connection failures due to VPN outages. If a VPN is active, disable it and restart the trading terminal to see if this resolves the issue.

Firewall and Antivirus Software: A firewall or antivirus software may interfere with the trading terminal by blocking or limiting internet traffic. To resolve this:

  • Add the trading terminal to the exceptions list of your firewall or antivirus software.

  • Temporarily disable the firewall or antivirus software, then attempt to log in again to check if the issue is resolved.

If the error persists despite these steps, contact support for further troubleshooting assistance.
